Because behind every kid doing math and learning to read... there’s a superhero with a lesson plan!

At Casa Hogar School, we are truly blessed to have not one, not two, but three incredible teachers walking alongside our kids every day. We want to take a moment to say how grateful we are for all the love, time, and effort they put into their work. It's not just about teaching ABCs and 123s—it’s about changing lives, and that’s exactly what they’re doing.

Even though our classrooms aren’t packed with tons of kids, the needs are big. Really big. We're talking about kids who’ve been through a lot—emotionally, mentally, spiritually. But that doesn’t scare our teachers. They show up with open hearts, prayerful minds, and enough patience to move mountains (or at least survive Monday mornings without coffee... though let’s be honest, coffee still helps!).

This year, we started a beautiful partnership with Itom Kari, a government children’s home, and through that, we welcomed a sweet girl, "K", into our school. When she first joined, reading felt impossible, and math might as well have been a foreign language. But with time, care, and a whole lot of encouragement, K has made amazing progress. She’s learning, growing, and most importantly—she believes in herself now. She walks with her head held a little higher, and that, friends, is a miracle we give thanks for.

To our teachers—we see you, and we appreciate you more than words can say.

  • Diana, thank you for jumping in this year with so much joy and dedication. You’ve brought fresh energy and ideas, and we’re so glad God sent you our way.

  • Dulce and Tanya, you’ve been here since the beginning. You know every crack in the floor and every kid’s favorite snack. You’ve been a steady light, through all the ups and downs, and we couldn’t have made it this far without your hearts and your prayers.

We know this work is not always easy. There are tears (some from the kids, some from us… okay, a lot from us), there are tough days, and there are moments when it feels like nothing is working. But then a child reads their first book, or solves a math problem, or just smiles because they feel safe and loved. And in those moments, we know: God is at work here.

So thank you, dear teachers. For every worksheet printed, every hug given, every prayer whispered, and every child believed in—you are the hands and feet of Jesus in our little school.

With all our hearts,Thank you. We love you. We appreciate you.

Let’s keep planting seeds of hope, one child at a time. 🌱💛
