A splash of fun

There are days that stay in our hearts forever — and this was one of them.
To welcome the summer, we packed our bags, gathered the kids, and headed out on a little road trip to Parque Infantil de Navojoa. The excitement began the moment we got on the road. Sometimes, just stepping out of our daily routine and seeing new places reminds us how big and beautiful God’s world really is.
When we arrived, joy was already in the air. The bright sun, the sound of laughter, the smell of food cooking — it all felt like a big, warm hug from God. The swimming pool sparkled in the light, inviting us all to jump in and enjoy. The kids wasted no time — splashing, sliding, laughing. Some of them faced their fears and went down the big water slide for the first time — what a victory!
The food and drinks were a blessing too. It wasn’t just about eating; it was about sharing. Sitting at the table together, watching the kids munch happily, it reminded us of the joy that comes from fellowship — something the early church treasured deeply.
This day was more than just fun. It was a gift. A reminder of how important it is to break the routine sometimes. To change the scenery. To breathe a little deeper. To let joy wash over us like water. God didn’t design us to live in stress and repetition — He made us for life, for community, for wonder.
Watching the children play and make new friends reminded us how much we all need each other. We were created for connection. And just like iron sharpens iron, being together sharpens our spirits. Days like this help build memories, strengthen friendships, and show our children what it means to live fully and freely in God’s love.
We thank God for every giggle, every splash, every moment of sunshine. May this summer continue to be filled with peace, play, and purpose. And may we always remember that even a short trip can bring a long-lasting blessing.
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24
